How do you distinguish between normal toddler clumsiness and potential developmental delays?
Asked 3 years ago
Hello, as a parent, I often worry about my toddler's development and wonder if their clumsiness is just normal or a sign of potential cognitive delays. What signs should I be looking out for? Any insights from other parents or professionals would be greatly appreciated.

It’s normal for your toddler to be clumsy as he learns motor skills. However, if you have concerns that his developmental milestones are delayed compared to his peers, visit your physician, who will take a careful history that includes a review of fine motor, visual, adaptive, and gross motor milestones and perform a physical examination.
