What are some of the common foot problems that can arise during child development?
Asked 2 years ago
I am concerned about the potential foot problems my child may encounter during their growth. I am curious to learn about the common issues that can arise and how to prevent or treat them.

Some common foot problems which are often seen in child development include flat feet, in-toeing or ‘pigeon toes’ (where the foot points inwards), and out-toeing (where the foot points outwards). Most foot problems will naturally correct themselves as your child continues to grow and develop. Once your child is walking outdoors, make sure that they have correct-fitting footwear to encourage their bones to grow straight. Ensure that they can be well-fastened with Velcro or laces, to keep the heel in place and to stop the foot sliding forward, which can damage and hurt the toes.
