As a parent of a child with flat feet, I am wondering if there are any long-term implications of flat feet in children. Will this affect their ability to participate in sports or cause pain later in life? Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.

There will be long-term implications if it is left untreated. Flat feet could lead to many other foot disorders and arthritis early in life. It could permanently affect your child's walking pattern and lead to ankle, knee, and back pain, Consult your physical therapist for further evaluation.
