How can I tell if my child's shoes fit properly?

Hey, I have just purchased a pair of winter boots for my little girl. I am worried that they do not fit her properly though, and could be negatively affecting her feet. What can I do to check their shoes fit appropriately? TYIA

It is important to check whether your daughter’s heel fits correctly and firmly into the back of the shoe when it is fastened, without the heel excessively moving or sliding around. The boot shouldn’t be too tight on the toes, so ask her to try to wiggle her toes in the shoe. Does she complain of soreness or do her feet appear red? If not, this suggests the boots are well-fitting.
