How to Measure My Kid’s Feet and Choose the Right Shoe Size

Buying boys’ sandals or girls’ shoes online can be a little daunting — especially when it comes to sizing. While online shopping is easier than ever, many parents hesitate simply because they’re unsure how to choose the right fit.

The good news? Measuring your child’s feet at home is easier than you think. Just follow a few simple steps to get it right. Then use our size chart below to convert your child’s foot length to the correct AU/UK or European size. Always choose a size that’s slightly larger — never too small or excessively big.

Measure both feet, one at a time. One foot is often slightly larger — always use the measurement of the bigger foot.

Got the right size for your child’s new sandals or sneakers? Remember, kids' feet grow fast — but choosing shoes that are too large can cause tripping or poor posture. Always aim for a snug but comfortable fit. First Walkers shoes are designed to support your child’s growing feet with the perfect balance of comfort, support, and flexibility.
